Minjara Platform Manager

The Rene Moawad Foundation (RMF) is seeking a Minjara Platform Manager under the “Enhancing the Tripoli furniture industry for driving economic growth” project funded by the European Union and implemented in partnership with Expertise France.

This project comes as a 24 months extension to the Private Sector Development Programme (PSD-P), particularly the wood processing component, and the work that was previously done by Expertise France between 2017 and 2019 which resulted in the establishment and operation of Minjara both the furniture brand and the platform (as a business support hub for all the carpenters of Tripoli). RMF and its consortium of partners are seeking to further elaborate Minjara to achieve sustainability of both the Minjara entity and management team.

Tasks and responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate, supervise and ensure a regular schedule of the platform.
  • Create and supervise workshop schedule.
  • Promote the platform and facilitate events, activities and workshops.
  • Contract and supervise carpenters.
  • Contract and supervise external partners when needed.
  • Contract suppliers.
  • Monitoring of supplies, materials and inventory.
  • Manage the customer and the expectations.
  • Coordinate the team and assign tasks per project for efficiency.
  • Manage the workflow between workshop manager/designer/Tripoli carpenters.
  • Ensure proper functioning of the platform daily operations.
  • Manage bookings and visits.
  • Manage external requests, internal projects and the shared workshop.
  • Seek new business opportunities/partnerships.
  • Ensure all projects internally and externally are submitted in a timely manner.
  • Prepare reports by collecting and summarizing data.
  • Documenting all projects in the platform.
  • Manage project budgets.
  • Track revenues and expenses.

 

Profile:

  • Knowledge and experience in business, supervision and management.
  • Organizational and decision-making skills.
  • Experience as community builder.
  • Scheduling and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic economics, budgeting, and accounting principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of common desktop applications (web browsing, word processing, image editing etc.), specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel in the MS Office Suite.
