WE ARE RECRUITING A FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION MANAGER!

Beirut DC is a Lebanese non-profit organization striving to empower filmmakers and audiences from every corner of the Arab world. We believe in the power of film as a driver for change, in access to independent cinema as a right to all communities, across class and culture, and in the right of Arab artists to choose their own narratives. We create resources, events, and virtual and physical spaces that bring filmmakers, communities, and civil society closer, paving the way for radical and transformative collaboration.

We are looking for a Finance and Administration Manager to join our team and oversee all of the organization’s financial, managerial, and human resource matters, across its departments and programs.

Our institution and our programs constantly evolve in response to our community’s needs, and, by extension, so do our jobs. We are looking for someone with team spirit and entrepreneurial drive, who can take initiative and is comfortable handling diverse tasks, to support the team and the institution as a whole.

DUTIES:

  • Prepare and monitor budgets, cash-flow, and procurement;
  • Prepare internal and external financial reports;
  • Contribute to the preparation, implementation, and follow-up of the annual programmatic, institutional, and fundraising strategies;
  • Contribute to the development of proposals and proposal budgets;
  • Develop and monitor the internal reporting, monitoring, and evaluation systems;
  • Oversee the current legal and organizational restructuring process of the organization;
  • Follow up with concerned public bodies and produce all required administrative and financial documents (tax declarations);
  • Supervise all legal, financial, and administrative matters to ensure law-abiding practices in collaboration with the organization's accountant, law firm, and auditing firms;
  • Oversee the planning and implementation of the yearly General Assembly and Board meetings;
  • Develop and monitor the implementation of the internal regulations, human resources policies, agreements, job descriptions, and annual capacity building activities;
  • Contribute to organizing other activities and events as required;
  • Oversee the management of the office in Beirut;
  • Represent the organization locally, regionally, and internationally.

DETAILS:

  • Full-time job, start immediately;
  • Office in Furn El Chebbak, Beirut, Lebanon;
  • 3 months probation, with the possibility of a year-long contract;
  • Salary according to profile.

PROFILE:

  • Residing with legal right to work in Lebanon;
  • Relevant education, training, and professional qualification in finance and administration;
  • 5+ years of proven experience in finance and administration, preferably in the cultural or nonprofit sector;
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills;
  • Able to thrive in a flexible, changeable workplace where people are able and encouraged to take the initiative;
  • Language proficiency required in English and Arabic, French is preferred;
  • Interest in the bridge between cinema, arts, and culture, and civil society.
