Podcast Producer

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Help shape & devise a form and style for a podcast series on Feminist donors and movement building
•  Attend meetings and interviews & capture audio recordings 
• Communicate with participants, interviewees and partners
•  Organise and log audio recordings (including additional content recorded by special guests)
•  Source music with CC licensing 
•  Work with feminist activists to extrapolate themes and stories 
• Edit the audio into 4-6 podcasts, 20-30min each
• Advise on podcast distribution

Personal Attributes, Skills & Experience 

Essential

• Excellent knowledge and experience of audio recording equipment/hardware, editing programmes, and digital & broadcast technology • Experience devising and producing podcasts from start to finish • Experience capturing recordings in a variety of non-studio settings • Excellent and demonstrable editing skills • Excellent knowledge of podcast hosting and distribution platforms and understanding of the differences between them and appropriate content on each platform. • Evidence of being well-organised, with a hard-working, flexible attitude. • Evidence of working with other artists, directors or creatives and realising their creative ideas  • Experience of organising consent forms and licensing agreements

Please note: The producer will need their own editing programmes and equipment. A hard drive for storing material can be provided.

Desirable   • Experience of working with activists. • Experience of working with community organisations.
