FUNDRAISING AND WRITING PROPOSAL CONSULTANT

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate and evaluate the work of the team while supporting the CEO
• Contribute to the development and review of operational procedures and/or strategies as per desired activities and outcomes
• Oversee the work of projects to ensure that work plans/aspirations are delivered in an accurate and timely manner
• Establish and maintain an effective system of communications throughout the organization to ensure that the responsibilities, authorities, and accountabilities of all executives are clearly defined and understood
• Monitor the adherence of employees to guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Develop fundraising plans and implementation strategies
• Identify and explore donor pools and new projects’ opportunities
• Write grant proposals and manage their submission
• Plan fundraising events such as dinners, receptions…
• Create partnership and collaborations with private – public and non-profit entities
• Ensure that the organization develops and maintains high, positive public profile and is promoted, in the local media, to potential funders, beneficiaries, partners and the local community

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline and a minimum of 5 years of experience in NGO Full project’s cycle management (Experience in NGOs is a must)
• Fluency in English, written and oral.
• Broad understanding of principals of international development, including sub-fields such as community mobilization, local governance and civil society development, local economic development, entrepreneurship, empowerment and/or others.
• Excellent critical thinking skills and sound judgment. Proven willingness to make timely and sound decisions based on accurate judgment.
• Ability to interact with all levels of staff in a professional manner.
• Excellent organizational skills. Ability to manage deadlines, to manage others and to work independently.
• Ability to travel extensively to region of responsibility.
