ANECD Coordinator Vacancy

A) Tasks and responsibilities 

1) Coordination

  • Ensure the alignment of the ANECD action plan and activities with the ANECD 3 years strategy
  • Lead the action plan implementation in coordination with the programs’ manager and ANECD director
  • Work closely with the ANECD director and programs manager to plan and execute ANECD meetings
  • Support the ANECD committees’ constitution and follow up closely on the committee’s work.
  • Support the ANECD national committees’ constitution and follow up on the national committees' work   
  • Lead ANECD proposal writing and reporting 
  • Ensure the quality of the language of external-facing publications (editing, proofreading, mainly in English) including concept notes, proposals, and reports       
  • Contribute to the ANECD fundraising     
  • Cooperate and communicate with the members and support the Director in liaising with the international institutions to contribute to good cooperation, information sharing, and communication between members and the secretariat, regional and international institutions, and other stakeholders.
  • Attend and participate in the Network’s meetings with donors, regional networks, regional and local partners, etc.
  • Coordinate closely with the communication coordinator and the administrative coordinator.
  • Report Monthly to ANECD Director and programs manager.

 

2) Advocacy
  • Design, plan and implement advocacy strategies and campaigns in line with ANECD’s 3-year strategy and collaboration with the ANECD Secretariat and network members
  • Promote ECD policies in the Arab world in the framework of the ECD Global trends and priorities and support the preparation of related policy documents and reports
  • Identify international key advocacy targets and develop contacts, in collaboration with regional and national members
  • Contribute to the creation of tools and guides for the ANECD members
  • Contribute to good cooperation, information sharing, and communication between members and the secretariat, institutions, and other stakeholders
  • Actively participate and represent the Arab Network, when needed, in various networks, initiatives, and events to share ANECD positions, after in-house consultation 
B) Qualifications and requirements:
  • BA in Early Childhood Development- related fields (MA and Management or Coordination skills are assets) 
  • 3+ years of experience in the field of advocacy and coordination
  • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with others and towards shared objectives
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and follow through on issues promptly
  • Ability to clearly convey information and ideas through a variety of media to the members in a manner that engage them and allow them to better participate
  • Ability to generate innovative solutions
  • Ability to work under pressure and towards tight deadlines maintaining effective performance
