Organisational Assessment + Capacity Building Plan

WHH is seeking an Organizational Development professional to conduct an intensive capacity assessment for a local partner organization as part of its capacity building activities.

In collaboration with WHH Head of Project, the consultant will design and implement an assessment to meet the developmental needs of the local partner organization. It will be interactive and practical to ensure maximum impact.

For consideration, the expert will have expertise in the following areas:

• Familiarity with NGO assessment tools
• Familiarity with management and structure of non-profit organizations
• Understanding of the requirements for spending public-funds through non-profit organizations.
• Demonstrated ability in team management and collaboration.
• Familiarity with the context of local economic development
• Experience in workshop design and facilitation

Phase 1 – Building capacity build tool for assessment. 

• Adjust pre-defined NGO assessment tools to the context and the needs
• Evaluate the consortium-management structure of WHH and the local partner

 Phase 2 – Formulate Capacity building plan and action plan

• Draft workplan, methodology and approach
• Collect data.
• Identify the gaps at the different levels
• Draft capacity building plan for the partner organization and agree with the partner organization
• Action plan and ways forward

Deliverables

• Inception Report outlining proposed intervention.
• Brief evaluation of the consortium structure (management, communication)
• Revised and final Methodology for NGO Capacity Assessment
• Outline and Draft Capacity Needs Assessment Report
• Validation Debriefing
• Revised and Final Capacity Needs Assessment Report
• Recommendation and action plan for future steps

Time Frame

The consultant will work for a period of up to 10 days. The assignment’s detailed work plan will be determined in consultation with WHH Project Manager.

Bids should contain:

• a concept note of the planned assessment (max . 1 page),
• a financial offer indicating daily rate and total value of the service,
• a prove of their experience by CV or similar self-presentation.
• Copy of valid ID
