Research and Economic analysis - Internship

MAAN is looking to hire a research expert to produce a research paper on public policies related to international loans policies and mechanisms in Lebanon.

The scope of work and expected outputs/deliverables will be the following:

• Conduct a thorough research on public policies in place related to loans and development projects.

• Conduct a research on the existing loans status (amounts, interest, loan maturity, etc.)

• Collect, organize, and synthesize information on international loans in Lebanon

•Implement different research tools and instruments in coherence with the designed concept and methodology.

• Conduct data analysis and take the lead in the construction of the research.

• Collect review and analyze all the necessary documents to fully understand the public accountability mechanisms in Lebanon.

• Carry out stakeholders’ analysis to bring out the roles and responsibilities of key actors in international loans and mechanisms.

 

Eligibility

-A post-graduate or equivalent qualification/ degree in Economics or Political Sciences.

-At least 6 months of prior work experience in conducting research.

- Demonstrated knowledge in public policies.

-Good understanding of socio-economic issues and challenges facing populations in Lebanon

-Possess excellent report writing, presentation, and documentation skills

-Very good knowledge of English and Arabic.
