Data Analyst

The Data Analyst's responsibilities include conducting full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities, and design.
Data analysts will develop analysis and reporting capabilities. They will also monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements.

Duties and responsibilities

• Formulate techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy, and legitimacy of data.
• Devise and implement efficient and secure procedures for data handling and analysis with attention to all technical aspects.
• Establish rules and procedures for data sharing with upper management and external stakeholders.
• Support others in the daily use of data systems and ensure adherence to legal and company standards.
• Assist with reports and data extraction when needed.
• Monitor and analyze information and data systems and evaluate their performance to discover ways of enhancing them.
• Troubleshoot data-related problems and authorize maintenance or modifications.
• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
• Query data to address specific informational requests.
• Create and manage data stores to house extracted data from a variety of sources.
• Assist with all aspects of data analysis and support with a key role in ensuring the timely production of reports and data.
• Develop records management processes and policies.
• Support and train operations staff in analyzing common assessments and other relevant district data using appropriate technology tools.
• Assists in data management, and data quality of master data requirements with other functional data owners to ensure functional master data integrity across the operation.
• Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
• Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
• Design data collection tools including use of Digital Data Gathering tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Calculus/Statistics or related field
• 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with digital data gathering.
• Strong understanding of M&E principles and processes, including results-based management, qualitative and quantitative tools and methodologies.
