CP-Case Worker (Lebanese Nationals Only) - Re-Advertised

An oranisation is seeking to recruit CP- Case Worker (Lebanese Nationals Only). 

Job Purpose: 

The Case Worker should conduct most high-risk level in need of protection case management.
Skilled in both case management and Protection from Abuse. Liaise with the PSS team in order to receive related risk cases and if needed to do referrals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receive high-risk child protection referrals for children in need of protection case management. Priorities intervention according to risk level.
• Ensure that informed consent/assent taken before opening a case.
• Ensure that children and caregivers registered in focused PSS activities without creating stigma and/or judgement.
• Ensure the child is involved and participates in the establishment of the case plan.
• Ensure the utmost confidentiality of case management data and information throughout the case management process; including protection referrals.
• Ensure close coordination with PSS teams in order to ensure children and their caregivers are referred from case management to focused and vice-versa.
• Assess received cases and take immediate action to address urgent situations.
• Provide age-appropriate counseling and qualitative psychosocial support to children and their families throughout the case management process.
• Store and file CP data ensuring the confidentiality of the information collected and the services provided according to the minimum standard.
• Flag all high risk cases in which judicial intervention is required to the Officer and ensure they are referred immediately to UPEL.
• Produce case reports of quality submitted to the Officer for case conferences and/or to provide recommendations, especially on alternative care options to UPEL for complex cases in need of judicial intervention.
• Receive referrals from different agencies, do action plan and appropriate response to each case.
• Raise gaps in CP response services and referral protocols to the Officer.
• Adhere to the principles and guidance of the National CP Case Management SOPs, including mandatory reporting requirements.
• Identify safe spaces to provide Focused PSS that adhere to the quality checklists for center-based and outreach activities shared at the inter-agency level.
• Deliver Focused PSS in line with global and national inter-agency SOPs/standards.
• Create a safe space where participants can voice their opinions, thoughts and emotions, share experiences and brainstorm on solutions in a confidential and respectful manner.
• Actively identify the most vulnerable: children at high risk and their caregivers and ensure their enrollment in focused PSS programs.
• Adapt the location and timing of sessions, content and approach of the focused PSS program to the needs and availability of the participants including children with special needs.

Qualifications:

• Worked in humanitarian settings, specifically in Child Protection or GBV sectors
• Completed training on National CP Case Management SOPs/ already implemented national SoP and familiar with its tool.
• Excellent knowledge :

1. Child Protection and GBV minimum standards and basic principles.
2. Child Protection case management.
3. Child and adult development and learning.
4. Psychosocial support basic principles and PSS key messages to vulnerable children and caregivers.
5. Safe identification and referral principles.
6. Facilitation skills, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, creativity and flexibility.
7. Computer Literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
