Speech Therapist - (2-3 Month Contract)

Major tasks include

• Identify children's developmental speech and communication difficulties/disorders as well as those with cognitive communication impairments, such as attention, memory, dyslexia and problem solving disorders.
• Analyze information and develop an individualized plan of care, tailored to each child’s needs.
• Keep written reports of individual and collective sessions to share with the educational team and the coordinator on a regular basis.
• Observe students in class.
• Help children with speech or cognitive problems develop strategies to overcome difficulties.
• Plan and deliver training sessions if needed
• Keep up to date and informed of the new trends and techniques developed. Take part in professional development sessions.
• Receive children from the community and communicate with the parents effectively. Keep tract of the attendance of the children

• Good abilities to communicate information and ideas verbally or in written.
• Use of a variety of material available or create new material.
• Empathy, patience and perseverance with the children;
• Sensitivity with communicating with parents effectively and positively, taking into consideration the particular situation of the families of the area of the Education Center
