Background:A Finance Officer should be familiar with the paper work and review of documentations, and a trustworthy person to handle a cash box and be responsible of all cash payments.
Job Purpose: A Finance Officer position is the base person who checks, reviews, and gives the green light for processing payments, booking accruals etc. in addition to a close coordination with all the cash requesters
Main Responsibilities:
- Processes incoming invoices and vouchers, ensuring that these are
- properly approved, stamped and coded, after being submitted to the Finance Department.
- Reviews all Primary Health Care, consultants, and service agreements backups and get necessary signatures.
- Reviews all submitted PR’s and procurements steps (offers, bid summary PO) and collects necessary signatures.
- Ensures that transactions are complete and accurate within the timeframe already agreed between the departments.
- Reviews all estimations prepared by the program team and make sure all needed backup is provided.
- Assists in preparation of weekly and monthly cash flow. Plans and requests cash disbursements.
- Support in booking employee salaries and taxes and other tax reporting.
- Assist in budget development.
- Assists in Audit schedule preparation.
- Responsible for VAT claims.
- Assists in the month closure on a monthly basis, and fiscal year closure in coordination with the finance team.
- Updates ARAP Analysis on a monthly basis.
- Support in designated project audits.
- Helps in the accounting entries into Costpoint-Deltek. Ensures there is proper supporting documentation for all payments and other accounting entries.
- Assists the Finance/Admin Manager in the preparation of monthly financial reports, and respond to any other/urgent task requested by Split.
- Ensures stored files in IMC warehouse are listed physically and electronically and kept up to date.
- Other relevant tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Essential Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Desirable Qualifications:Master's degree to equivalent
Essential Experience:
- 1-3 years of Accounting experience with international projects preferred
- Experience with accepted accounting procedures desired
Desirable Experience:
- Experience working with INGOs preferred
