IM Officer Zahle/Beirut

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Support

  • Support field teams with the equipment and forms needed to conduct their daily work
  • Provide remote assistance for field workers  
  • Complete necessary system updates to Medair tablets and Cat phones under his responsibility
  • Communicate Survey changes properly to all field staff
  • Take part as a member of the IM Team at Medair with the responsibilities that it entitles

Information Management

  • Data check and cleaning on Data Entry
  • Double checking ODK surveys before server upload
  • Ensure relevant staff have appropriate levels of access to tools in ODK and QLIK dashboards
  • Coordinate with MEAL and other departments to ensure appropriate levels of data disaggregation are collected
  • Support development of a centralized system to capture and report information and accurate data at project, program and country level
  • Support in maintaining a consistent network of information management within the organizational chart

Development

  • Support IT Team in development of Information Management Systems including ODK, GIS, Qlik etc.
  • Build new applications in XLS Format for usage on ODK
  • Ensure suitable training provided to field Teams in the various information management systems used in operations, including ODK etc.
  • Provide technical support and specified training to Field Team Leaders in technical usage of Medair Information Management systems in the field and office as necessary
  • Develop, update and maintain Qlik dashboards when needed

 

Communication

  • Work closely with IT/IM Manager and Senior IMGIS officer on planning future work and data requirements
  • Communicate with the IT/IM Manager any problems or technical software updates during project implementation or with information management
  • Communicate changes and updates with head of the project and field staff as needed
  • Communicate with MOPH IM to ensure data collection process, maintain accessibility of system

Reporting

  • Assist in the generation of the final and interim reporting of the different projects
  • Analyze collected data using  ODK and other software
  • Timely reporting of project data for Project Manager
  • Create and share monthly data exports for ODK Collected data
  • Maintain and update the data warehouse
  • Provide additional exports based on requests

Teamwork

  • Work where required to help the various activities carried out by Medair Lebanon

Person Specification:

  • University degree in Computer Science or similar field
  • Understanding of Data Collection Principles 
  • Knowledge of ArcGIS is an asset
  • Knowledge of Mera/MOPH
  • Experience in working as part of a team in Information Management or related teams
  • Experience in supporting remote field workers
  • Work experience in NGO is preferable
  • Good knowledge of Arabic and English (spoken and written)
  • Excellent knowledge in Mircorosoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Access & XLS forms
  • Knowledge of ODK and qlik
  • Familiarity with ArcOnline, Collector and ArcGIS
  • Self-motivated, team-player with good inter-personal skills
  • Capacity to work under pressure
  • Creative, flexible, dedicated, reliable and organized
