In an attempt to improve awareness on the importance of breastfeeding, clarify the misconceptions and to further provide technical support for pregnant women and caregivers with children under 3 years of age through the IYCF support hotline, an IYCF Health Promotion, Counseling and Support national Campaign is planned to be implemented in June 2021. The campaign will be implemented and led by the Ministry of Public Health and in collaboration with UNICEF, Lebanese parliament, and members of the IYCF national committee and the Nutrition sector.
An IYCF Campaign Coordinator will be responsible for the preparation, implementation, and monitoring of the National IYCF Campaign activities. He/she will also be responsible for communicating the aim of the campaign to the relevant stakeholders.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Participate in planning, preparing, implementing, and monitoring the National IYCF Campaign activities
- Create a strategic plan for the campaign with all the activities to be implemented
- Maintain good knowledge on relevant campaign issues and provide expertise with respect to specialized campaign areas.
- Liaise and collaborate with the different campaign members (MoPH, UNICEF, IOCC and other partners…) to organize campaign related activities and achievement of campaign objectives
- Liaise and collaborate with UNICEF external communication on media related activities
- Ensure timely preparation of the content (IEC materials); training materials, educational videos, awareness raising activities, live webinars etc... and circulating them with the Campaign committee for review and feedback.
- Work closely with order of nurses, order of midwives, order of OBGYNs and society of pediatricians and other stakeholders to disseminate the key messages of the campaign and formalize the main role of each.
- Establish a good communication network with the different partners participating in the campaign to facilitate the implementation of the campaign activities
- Ensure that MoPH, IOCC and UNICEF are kept up to date with all campaign related activities and submit campaign progress reports as needed
- Ensure smooth operations and the achievement of overall campaign goals
- Perform other duties as required or assigned

- Dynamic personality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English; French is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of work experience.
- Previous experience in IYCF programs
- Previous experience in coordination and management
- Experience working for an NGO preferred
Working Conditions
- Based at the office with visits to MoPH and the field when needed
