Project Manager (Lead)

Description of tasks

Oversee implementation of the project, monitor project performance, lead on planning implementing the project activities, coordinate with TI regional activities, review expenditures and work with finance to monitor expenditures of the project, prepare project reporting and primary lliasion with donor on project.

Specific Tasks

1. Plan the project

2. Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project in a timely and efficient manner;

3. Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities;

4. Review the project schedule with the Programs Manager and all other concerned staff involved in the project activities, and revise the schedules as required;

5. Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion;

6. Develop, in close coordination with the MEL officer, a MEAL framework, in addition to all other MEAL tools required for the effective implementation of the project including measurable indicators;

7. Implement the project

8. Execute the project according to the project plan with direct coordination with the project team;

9. Develop forms and records to document project activities as per the donor’s requirement and LTA’s internal procedures;

10. Set-up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured;

11. Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project;

12. Review the quality of the work completed with the project support team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards;

13. Ensure the project implementation is in compliance with all donors’/partners’ procedures and regulations

14. Develop budget forecasts and ensure proper expenditure;

15. Coordinate with Finance to provide needed documents required by Donor and LTA.

16. Work closely with the financial officer to prepare financial reports and supporting documentation for donors as outlined in funding agreements;

17. Monitor the progress of the project against set indicators in a timely manner;

18. Monitor any potential risks, through developing risk-management plan to avoid any delay or challenges that might affect the effectiveness of the project implementation;

19. Write reports on the project 

20. Closely coordinate with partner's team

 

Position Requirements:

1. Proven experience with NGOs

2. University degree in social science, political science, law or related discipline,

3. Experience in field coordination, monitoring and follow up;

4. Experience in event management and coordination;

5. Highly skilled in report writing in both languages (Arabic and English – French is a plus);

6. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic including demonstrable ability to work with others and as part of a team;

7. Knowledge and skills in computer usage including word, excel, powerpoint, and social media;

8. Good organizational skills;

9. Takes responsibility for own work and delegated project/processes (including some leadership);
