Employability Lead

General objectives and tasks:

1- Supervise and develop the employment office day to day activities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the employment office and optimize its actual and running activities.
  • Update and optimize the procedures and policies of the employment office unit.
  • Prepare annual budget and action plan on a yearly basis to be reported to the direct supervisor.
  • Generate reports periodically and as requested to the direct supervisor.
  • Maintain the functioning of the database system and keep on developing it while always ensuring its practicality.
  • Coordinate with different departments across arcenciel, maintain good relation and clarify the workflow to ensure smooth coordination; HR department, Social unit, Health units, centers, etc.
  • Outreach job seekers meeting the targeted requirements, through different channels (universities, ministry of social affairs, social unit, NGOs, etc.)
  • Welcome and reassure job seekers within the employment office.
  • Make sure the reception of beneficiaries within the employment office is aligned with the values and culture of arcenciel.
  • Provide continuous support and guidance to beneficiaries and be also at the service of beneficiaries.
  • Provide one-on-one job readiness sessions to job seekers based on the set curricula.
  • Monitor the continuous follow up on candidates and ensure registry of updated information on daily basis.
  • Propose candidates from the pre-established database, keep track of recruitment opportunities and make sure to find suitable candidates for companies.
  • Source job opportunities that would be relevant for the job seekers
  • (job boards, referrals, partnering NGOs, etc.)
  • Contact recruiting companies to promote disability inclusion and match job seekers with job opportunities.
  • Visit companies and organizations to build rapport, create strong working relationship and enhance collaborations.
  • Provide the necessary support and information to the hiring organization on matters related to the inclusion of the person with disability.
  • Guarantee the satisfaction of the hiring company when employing and matching candidates with job opportunities, through continuous follow up.
  • Partner with training organizations and NGOs providing vocational and soft skills trainings, to build the capacities of candidates.
  • Network with companies, organizations, etc. who support the inclusion of people with disabilities in the workplace and work together on different projects, serving the sole purpose.
  • Refer, though different referral systems, job seekers to other NGOs or units across arcenciel for service provision, when needed.

 

2-Implement projects of the employment office, in alliance with arcenciel’s strategy and donors’ requirements:

  • Read thoroughly and understand the project proposal and description of action for each of the projects.
  • Divide and allocate tasks and responsibilities among team members, while ensuring their understanding of the project’s objectives and outcomes, besides the hands-on outputs, activities, indicators and means of verifications as per the logical framework.
  • Plan the implementation of the project activities according to the grant agreement, implementation plan and quality standards.
  • Monitor the implementation process to ensure the achievement of project deliverables in terms of cost, time and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with the donor’s policies and procedures.
  • Prepare routine technical and programmatic reports, including bi-weekly reports, quarterly and semiannual reports.
  • Send the M&E Reports alongside the supporting documents, on a monthly basis to the direct supervisor and Project Manager, showcasing the progress of activities reaching outputs and ultimately outcomes, while highlighting impacts and successes.
  • Document lesson learned and report them back to the direct supervisor.
  • Maintain complete, accurate and up-to-date project files.

3- Promote disability inclusion among companies and individuals in Lebanon:

  • Promote the mission and objectives of the employment office among companies, NGOs and different stakeholders.
  • Raise awareness and promote the inclusion of people with disability in workplace through the different types of activities and interventions.
  • Promote the social model approach.
  • Endorse the disability inclusion concept at the workplace.
  • Support the application and implementation of the law 220/2000.
  • Increase the circle of connections of the employment office and enhance actual relations.
  • Participate in different seminars, webinars, round tables, workshops in relation to employability and disability matters.

 

4- Supervise the employment office unit team members:

  • Oversee and organize the work of team members to maximize productivity and provide quality services to beneficiaries.
  • Divide and allocate tasks and responsibilities among team members, in timely and practical manner.
  • Provide assistance, mentoring and support to the team members for better performance.
  • Train and motivate the team for greater productivity.
  • Manage conflicts that may appear within his team and report back to the direct supervisor.
  • Ensure the compliance of team members with the policies and procedures of the employment office as well as the internal rules and regulations of the association.
  • Conduct regular internal meetings with team members to ensure proper implementation.

 

5- Assist in other required tasks as needed.

 

Position requirements:

  • Proficiency in recruitment and employability processes and understanding of job markets in Lebanon.
  • Previous experience in recruitment agency.
  • Previous experience in NGO.
  • Previous experience in human resources management
  • Understanding of Applicant Tracking System and recruitment software.
  • Understanding of the Lebanese Labor law and Social Security law.
  • Hands-on law 220/2000 and CRPD.
  • Proficiency in dealing with different types of disabilities.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to relate to people at all levels.
  • Strong interpersonal, mediation and negotiation skills.
  • Strong relational skills and ability to present the image of arcenciel.
  • Great influential skills and ability to impact and change mindset towards the acceptance and inclusion of people with disability.
  • Good leadership skills and know-how to manage a team.
  • Empathetic person with high emotional resilience.
  • High sense of reasoning and objectivity. Pragmatic.
  • High level of confidentiality and respect of work secrecy.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.

Working schedule: Monday till Friday from 9:00 am till 5:00 pm.

Contract type: CDD: 1 year (May be renewable).
