People & Culture Advisor

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy & Leadership

Support the MEER Leadership Team in the development of the Regional P&C Strategy and Priorities.

Advise and support MEER P&C Regional Director in his leadership and engagement on all P&C matters with the Regional Office and the Region’s Field Offices.

Support Field Offices to develop effective P&C strategies and Plans appropriate to their context and in alignment with the P&C strategies and priorities.

Collaborate with the Regional functions and Field Offices to ensure that P&C priorities and standards are integrated with each function/office’s strategies.

Support Field Office on employee experience transformations and initiatives.

Contribute to MEER’s wide communication and change management process to support the implementation of the MEER strategy and priorities.

Support and contribute the organisation initiative in deepening management and Leadership capabilities to drive organisational health and performance.

Technical Support

Provide technical leadership and support to MEER Offices ensuring P&C compliance to standards, policies and guidelines.

Support in contextualizing and mainstreaming the global P&C policies, guidelines and standards for each MEER Office.

Monitor the implementation of all P&C policies across each MEER Office and ensure that any breach or inconsistency is reported and followed up on.

Develop and implement a standardized effective and efficient Talent Acquisition policy and process map across MEER national offices in order to effectively recruit the best talent.

Collaborate closely with the Regional P&C Team to ensure the optimal integration of P&C strategy, plan and implementation at each MEER Office.

Collaborate with the Regional P&C Director on ensuring the implementation of Regional P&C projects and initiatives in MEER Offices.

Support MEER P&C Offices is analyzing data and metrics in order to develop solutions to address (and avoid) the current (and future) challenges.

Employee Relations

Support across the Region with the P&C investigations, and other investigations as per the evaluations of the Regional Investigation committee.

Handle staff grievances and disciplinary action processes in consultation with Regional P&C Director, P&C Field Office Leads and National Office Senior Leaders following WVV’s P&C procedures and policies as well as any other relevant local labour laws.

Workforce planning

Own the mapping and analysis of workforce across all MEER Field Offices. Ensure that all relevant data and analysis is done as per the requirements for submission to Regional P&C Director and Global Centre Workforce Planning and Analysis Department.

Support Regional & Field Offices to develop their workforce plans and ensure these are updated as needed.

Support (when and if required) P&C Office Leads in creating and approving the workforce planning for their office while at the same time ensuring that the Business Units meet the requirements in terms of Headcount and Capacity to achieve the goals of each Office.

Performance Management MEER Regional Office (MEERO) & MEER – Partnering for Performance

Lead and manage the whole Partnering for Performance process cycle, for the region and on behalf of the Regional P&C Director.

Manage and coordinate the performance appraisal cycle by ensuring provision of orientation on performance objective setting, mid-year reviews, annual reviews and merit increase.

Provide ongoing support and follow up on performance improvement process with MEER line managers.

Talent Management - (MEERO/MEER)

Lead P&C Teams across MEER to implement the Talent Management (TM) MEER strategy.

Manage as a Regional Focal point the coordination of all Talent identification processed across the region and design and roll-out training to P&C teams and Regional management if needed.

Monitoring the progress and follow up meetings and support with Regional Directors (RDs) and Field Offices.

Assess and identify competency gaps based on the TM identification process and liaise with P&C Dir & Global Center (GC) to find internal/external opportunities (in house trainers, WVI regional office’s programs, WVI online learning modules etc) for talent identified across the region.

Capacity Building incl Learning & Development (L&D)

Contribute to the assessment, development and implementation of an integrated Regional capacity building plan based on P&C priorities and Strategy.

Design and implement Learning & Development program paths using the internal resources of WV according to Regional and Office Priorities on Talent Management & Development.

Work closely with the Field Office Team Leads to foster an environment of learning so all staff are encouraged to excel and maximize their individual potential towards achievement of organizational and personal objectives.

Design, plan and conduct workshops and training on various P&C and related topics as needed.

Other

Work with and provide trusted advice and recommendations to MEER Offices’ Leadership with an aim of influencing to achieve effective people related priorities and improving business results.

Provide interim P&C Support when a Field Office is transitioning.

Carry out any other work assigned by the MEER Regional P&C Director as and when needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Required

University Degree in Human Resource Management, or any other relevant field

At least 7 years’ experience in HR Business Partnering role

Strong strategic thinking, leadership and consultation skills

Proven record in collaborating, influencing and interacting with Senior Leaders

Experience in cross-cultural setting

Strong analytical, organisational and facilitation skills

Ability to work under pressure, being self-motivated and detail-oriented;

Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues including virtual teams

Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and work with little supervision under the virtual working relationships

English and Arabic are required

Preferred

Certified Investigator in Employee Relations matters will be considered an advantage

Certified Trainer in HR related topics will be considered an advantage

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The preferred locations for the position to be based are Lebanon, Jordan or other locations within MEER (Middle East/Eastern Europe) to be determined by home country of successful candidate in a jurisdiction where WVI is registered to operate.

The position requires ability and willingness to travel internationally up to 20% within MEER.
