Major responsibilities:
Accounting:
• Verify payments making sure to abide by IRC policies.
• Maintain the accounts payable and accounts receivable system in order to ensure complete and accurate records.
• Ensures all financial transactions are reasonable, appropriate, and necessary.
• Analyzes data and prepares financial documents from the sun system for internal and external purposes.
• Assist during the donor verification visit and the audit process.
Major responsibilities: Budgeting/& Reporting:
• Conduct a thorough preparation of new budget and existing grant budget revision ensuring that all costs are covered and are not under/over budgeted in addition to correct use of the IRC and donor budget formats.
• Work with the Budget & Reporting manager on the monthly shared program cost allocation.
• Work on the month closure
• Support program teams in matters related to the budget.
• Prepare the monthly versus actual (BVA) report and distribute on time.
• Review the budget spending and advice relevant staff on spending status and ask for feedback on all over/under spending.
• Prepare and update spending plan for the grant in conjunction with the appropriate budget holders.
• Review and updated the commitments lists from SC, Admin, & HR to be included in the monthly BVAs.
• Assist in preparing Donor financial report for review by the Budget & Reporting Manager.
• Provide Analysis of grant spending plan vs. actual spending
• Review PRs and advise charge codes.
• Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
• Extract on a monthly basis the transaction list for GFFO grant and add “Who Paid & To Whom we Paid” as per GFFO regulations.

Job Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years in an Accounting /Finance position preferably in an NGO.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from recognized College/Institution
• Excellent knowledge in Excel
• Working experience on budget preparation, budget management and financial reports will be an added advantage.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Fluency in English and Arabic
• Ability to prioritize among multiple tasks and make decisions.
• Team player.
• Can work in stressful environment.
