Basmeh and Zeitooneh is a registered Lebanese organization, committed to serving refugees and vulnerable communities in Lebanon, through four community centers across the country. The organization runs educational, relief, livelihoods, and protection programs, and aims to serve as an inclusive and supportive focal point for the entire community.
Job Purpose: The consultant will be hired to provide the training for 30 B&Z staff and volunteers on PFA in order to be able to better respond to people's needs and concerns on the field.
Major Activities:
PROVISION OF SPECIALIZED PSYCHO-SOCIAL SUPPORT
- Provide a training plan indicating the steps and the topics that will be covered throughout the training session including pre and post evaluations.
- Deliver the PFA training with the materials needed that CFPs can keep as a reference. (3 Days).
- Deliver a final evaluation report including the learning outcomes of the training. (1 day)
- Experience in working and/or delivering (PFA) training to community structures/volunteers specifically.
- Experience in providing remote training.
- Familiarity or previous experience with the context in Beirut and ML
REPORTING
- Provide monthly activity reports to the line manager;
- Report on any trend related to protection and propose adaptation measures.
- Accomplish any other assignments given by supervisors or the PM.
- SAFEGUARDING AND CHILD PROTECTION
- Ensure the best practices in B&Z safeguarding measures and child protection policy as well as code of conduct
- Fulfilling other duties and responsibilities of a similar level as needed.
- The tasks and responsibilities defined in this job description are non-exhaustive and can evolve depending on the project’s needs.
Any other tasks or responsibilities assigned by the Line Manager.
Competencies:

- At least 5 years in humanitarian assistance and 2 years of international relief and emergency experience in the same position,
- Experience in conflict/post-conflict contexts, with experience in supporting emergency responses, access and security analysis, and management
- Good expertise in protection, with a focus on CP/SGBV
- Ability to set high standards for quality of work and quick adaptability and flexibility in a stressful environment
- Ability to manage human, technical, administrative, and financial resources.
- Facilitating and encouraging open communication in the team, communicating effectively.
- Previous achievement in Project Proposal Writing.
- Perfect knowledge of all the phases of the PCM.
