Consultancy: Videographer and Layout Designer

Background

As part of an EU-funded project entitled “Challenging Stereotypes, Providing Services, Convening and Advocating: A Multi-Layered Approach to Promoting LGBTQ Rights in Lebanon”, Oxfam has recently conducted a research study on the impact of the economic and financial crisis, the COVID-19 pandemic and the Beirut Blast of the LGBTQ community in Lebanon. In preparation to celebrate Pride Month in June 2021, Oxfam is planning to produce a video series and a policy document in order to disseminate its research findings.

Objectives of the project

Oxfam aims to produce a series of animated videos and one policy document that aim to:

1. Raise awareness on the multi-level impact of the series of crises on the LGBTQ community as per the research findings.
2. Highlight the needs, challenges and priorities of the LGBTQ community in Lebanon as cited by members of the community.
3. Highlight recommendations of LGBTQ individuals, groups and service providers for better inclusion of the LGBTQ community in crisis response.

Job Description

The consultant will:

1. Develop a series of 5 informative animated videos (60 to 90 seconds) in line with research findings and Oxfam’s and EU’s visibility and branding criteria.
2. Develop the design, layout, and infographics for one policy document (2-3 pages) in line with Oxfam’s and EU’s branding requirements.
3. Develop a comprehensive action plan and timeline for production.
4. Tailor key messages to be communicated in the Video/Infographics.
5. Provide 2 rough cuts and 1 final edit for each product.

Qualifications

• Availability to start immediately
• Motion graphics, assets creation and animation skills
• Infographic design and layout design
• Experience in ideation and content creation for social media campaigns and advocacy work
• Familiarity with the context of the LGBTQ community in Lebanon
• Working languages: English and Arabic
• Excellent coordination and communication skills, flexible attitude and respect for deadlines

Timeline and Expected Number of Working Days: The consultant is expected to start immediately and provide the deliverables within a period of 15 days

Payment: Payment will be done 100% upon Oxfam’s approval of the final report.
