Community-Based Project Coordinator – "Provision of healthcare services to conflict affected children in Lebanon” project

Main Role

The Community Based Project Coordinator is responsible of achieving the planned outcomes and benefits related to the project by overseeing all activities and ensuring that the project outcomes are optimized. He/she provides guidance and oversight on technical matters related to related staff in targeted Health centers. The Project Coordinator also oversees the provision of safe quality services and the operational management of the project.

 

Main operational duties and tasks:

1- Staff Management

  • Supervise the employees’ performance in the project
  • Supervise the attendance of staff and solve any related problem
  • Follow up on personnel matters related to staff with concern positions in accordance to the personnel manual of LRC
  • Motivate the staff and maintain a high level of morale
  • Hold monthly meetings with the staff of the project, and when needed

 

2- Direct Project Implementation

  • Participate in the design and facilitation of trainings for staff and volunteers 
  • Negotiate the type and costs of activities to be executed with the social workers and MSD Director
  • Visit and monitor the work in the targeted areas
  • Elaborate of Health Education materials
  • Maintain relationship with municipalities
  • Monitor the relation with other NGOs and local authorities
  • Monitor the team achievements and analyse information for the project
  • Establish and achieve goals and objectives for the project
  • Coordinate with other LRC departments as per project requirements
  • Prepare and schedule programs for foreign visitors and accompany them

 

3- Reporting

  • Receive monthly reports from social workers in the field
  • Write narrative reports (final and progress) and submit them to MS Director
  • Update on a weekly basis the project outcomes to the MS Director

 

Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience
  • Practical experience in community health work
  • Practical experience in managing health programs
  • Experience in leading and managing a team
  • Experience in training and good communication skills
