Psychologist

1- Main Tasks:

o Develop and adapt ‘Focused psychosocial activities’ content in coordination with the PSS manager, Build the capacity of the PSS team on the FPSS interventions and provide follow up and coaching to the team;

o Designs and provides briefings, Training of Facilitators and Training of Trainers; and tailored trainings where needed

o Provides guidance and advice to Psychology/Social Work Interns and volunteers.

o Lead supervision meetings on Focused PSS implementation.

o Gathers input in collaboration with the PSS manager for program development and monitoring, rolling out standards, methods and tools

o Ensures that WCH methods and standards for the implementation of Focused PSS programs are revised and remain up to date based on WCH programming practice and international standards,

o Assist the team in the Development individual and group progress report and maintain a filing system of children respecting confidentiality.

o Collects and documents feedback from the field on the implementation of the methodology including challenges and lessons learnt

o Provide Mental Health consultation to caregivers in order to guide them to the needed services

o Conduct case studies with the case management team in order to guide them on how to have a holistic intervention

2- Knowledge & Experience

 MA in Clinical Psychology

 Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a relevant field (focused PSS – Supervision – Training experience) ;

 Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in working with an (I)NGO in an international/ humanitarian context;

 Background/contextual knowledge and sensitivity concerning conflict and humanitarian context;

 Preferably previous experience in working with refugee/vulnerable populations

3- Skills

 Fluency in Arabic and English

 Team oriented, with ability to take own initiative and work independently;

 Cultural Sensitivity

 Listening skills, observation, sensitivity, sincerity, discretion, empathy, values diversity, excellent communication skills
