Project Coordinator-WFP SMEs (Offer pending Donor's approval)

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES:

60%

Ensure Implementation and Coordination

Implement assigned tasks as per the implementation plan

Comply and abide by WV best practices and donor regulations in data gathering and procurement processes.

Manage the planning and implementation of the activities in close coordination with WFP

Maintain and keeping daily records of the Means of Verifications and evaluation documents, while being held accountable of preparing, reviewing, editing reports and ensuring timely submission as per the required deadline

Follow-up with business coaches and support the SME technical officer in reviewing the coaches' deliverables

Organize regular coordination meetings with SMEs for updates, info sharing and follow up

Organize and implement outreach with the support of the program officer

Organize trainings for SMEs outreach with the support of the program officer

Follow-up with the SMEs on the implementation of all activities, and be the SMEs focal point for all program-related activities, questions or concerns

Inform the program manager of any deviations from the planned activities

Follow-up with the Program Officer to ensure equipment, machines and services are being delivered to SMEs on time.

Manage the daily tasks and performance of the Program Officer

All project deliverables are met within the agreed time-frame and budget in compliance with donor regulations, WV’s and international best practices;

Reporting

Prepare draft donor reports, and verify the information provided by the Program Officer in the reporting templates and checklists

Ensure means of verification are being collected for MEL coordinator to evaluate progress of work against the indicator

Deliver high quality, accurate and timely weekly reports;

Ensure all relevant project documents are being filed in line with WV’s requirements for project auditing;

Track task progress in line with the established tracking system;

Conduct data gathering and contribute to the development of project amendments and proposals;

Timely progress monitoring and plan adjustments when needed.

Monitoring, Accountability and Protection Mainstreaming:

Support actions to address beneficiary feedback and complaints.

Actively participate in lessons learned session for the project;

Report any child labor cases in any of the SMEs.

Provide SMEs with all project details and accountability mechanisms.

Ensure transparency and accountability towards SMEs and beneficiaries.

Provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching to project staff

Ensure Project staff compliance with World Vision’s policies and procedures.

Provide opportunities for capacity building to project staff in consultation with the program manager and HR to ensure proper technical and personal development.

Coach, support and motivate the team ensuring quality performance of their tasks.

Effectively manage the performance of direct reports ensuring performance agreements, regular performance reviews, and annual appraisals are done. Address performance or behavioral issues when they arise.

Perform other duties as required

Attend and participate in WVL’s spiritual nurture and other organizational events

Responsible of own security and actively contribute to a positive security culture

Report CP incidents as per the safeguarding policy guidelines.

Abide by the security policies and procedures and report any incidents or breaches to line manager and / or security manager

Perform other duties as assigned by Line Manager

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE:

Required Professional Experience

Experience in SMEs or entrepreneurs support;

Experience in coordinating with consultants and coaches;

Experience in data gathering and focus group discussions;

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the NGO sector preferably in livelihoods or economic development;

Required Education,

certification

Bachelor degree in business, economy, social science or any relevant field…

Able to use a computer, with word-processing (e.g. Microsoft Office) and spreadsheets, internet and e-mail

A valid driver’s license (more than 1 year old);
