Grants Officer / Proposal Writer

The Grants Officer/Proposal Writer will oversee end-to-end proposal writing and implementation, from concept note, proposal/budget development, to grant implementation, to interim and final reporting (if required). This will include writing significant proposal sections in collaboration with field and HQ teams, ensuring appropriate technical and country input, ensuring all required annexes are completed, and managing the review and revision process. In addition, the Grants Officer/Proposal Writer will advise on all compliance requirements.

 

DESCRIPTION

Contract duration: 07/2021 - 04/2022 (35 working hours per week / ca. 4 days a week) with a potential extension.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Stay informed and gather information on funding opportunities which match PIN SK goals and objectives (in the livelihood and education sectors)
  • Monitor donor announcements, provide regular inputs regarding development opportunities, ensuring the team is fully aware of all opportunities and proposals, studying requests for proposal, attending strategy meetings (online)
  • Meets proposal deadline by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review and approval
  • Gathers proposal information by identifying sources of information, coordinating submissions, identifying and communicating risks associated with proposals
  • Develops proposals (project nature, objectives/outcomes/deliverables, implementation, methods, timetable, staffing, budget ad evaluation)
  • Write projects sections, including backgrounds, executive summaries, past projects etc.
  •  Review/rewrite proposal inputs and coordinate with teams to ensure accuracy
  • Edit proposals and related documents for completeness and compliance with editorial standards and for proposal formatting/composition
  • Identify, coordinate and ensure the timely completion of all activities needed for successful proposal generation
  • Represent PIN SK in donor communication when requested

 

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Background or proven experience of minimum 2 years in grant management procedures (budget planning, project proposal writing, logical framework etc)
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • Be a team player
  • Strong project planning and analytical skills

PIN SK provides humanitarian aid in critical regions around the world to support people in crises and helps individuals overcome challenging circumstances, so they can get back on their feet. The first humanitarian intervention of PIN SK in Lebanon started back in 2006 and intensified after the outbreak of the Syrian refugee crisis. Since then, we have been managing multiple projects focused on livelihoods, shelter and education for vulnerable communities.
