The Arab master’s programme in Democracy and Human Rights (ArMA) at Saint Joseph University in Beirut, is looking for a young Arab researcher or graduate (preferably Iraqi, Syrian or Palestinian) based in Lebanon to support in managing research projects related to Human Rights and Democratic governance, and in particular relevant to the Rights of the Child; 

The researcher's responsibilities include and are not limited to:  

• Developing Research and Educational activities related to the Rights of the Child within the master’s programme.  
• Setting up and managing activities pertaining to the rights of the Child.  

• Liaising with international partners on issues and projects relevant to the Rights of the Child.
• Supporting the programme's Academic coordinator on academic issues within the Arab Master’s in Democracy and Human Rights. 

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in relevant discipline. Previous research experience.
• Excellent Arabic and English communication (written and oral) skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as an effective team member.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and complete tasks/projects in accordance with established deadlines.
• Ability to produce high quality deliverables with attention to detail.
• Proven experience of qualitative and quantitative research, including research design and methodologies, data collection and analysis.
