Basmeh and Zeitooneh is a registered Lebanese organization, committed to serving refugees and vulnerable communities in Lebanon, through four community centers across the country. Job Purpose: The Time Management trainer will manage and provide time management training to B&Z staff Shatila.
Major Activities :
Time Management courses aim to provide the strategies and techniques needed to make the most of time. Training should help B&Z Staff to analyze their own strengths and weaknesses, set their own priorities, manage the expectations of others and become more effective in the workplace.
Effective Time Management course should enable trainees to:
- Plan and priorities their work more efficiently
- Manage interruptions more effectively
- Develop practical techniques and strategies for more effective time management
- Harness the benefits of technology
- Identify time management issues are and how they arise
Time Management course includes:
- Managing yourself
- Identifying your priorities
- Linking time to your objectives: short and long term
- Using planning and scheduling techniques
- Use the four Ds for effective workflow
- Setting SMART goals
- Time wasting and procrastination – how to fight them
- Managing your environment
- Managing the information flow – emails, phone, and messaging
- Managing the expectations and priorities of others
- Dealing with interruptions
- The art of effective delegation
- Managing meetings
Performance:
- the trainer will be providing 3 days for B&Z staff in Shatila Camp
- This would help them be able to continue responding properly to running projects and to the emergency project in particular.
- 5 Staff will be given each 3 days of training sessions. 1 day for reporting.
- The trainer will coordinate closely with the B&Z HR department and with the manuals of the tools for revisions, brainstorming and best practices approach.
Reporting :
The final reporting package should be delivered after the training directly.
Key Performance Indicators :
- Working within the principles of the Code of Conduct.
- Ensuring that beneficiaries have access to the appropriate service.
- Ensuring that the Foundation’s team interacts with beneficiaries within the principles of the B&Z, especially preserving dignity and avoiding psychological harm.
- Achieving the required number of beneficiaries at the end of the program while ensuring the quality of work.
- Ensure that a safe environment is provided for the staff in the training,
- Create positive communication with the team.
Delegation of Authority: Reporting in Case of any violation in Safe Guarding Policy
Education & Experience:
- University degree in a related field
- 5 years of job experience relevant to the function, in a comparable environment with non-governmental organizations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience in delivering training according to tight deadlines.
- Professional experience in mental health session delivery.
- Good skills in anticipating problems and developing solutions; - Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Ability to deal with administration and documentation.
- Knowledge of English written and spoken.
- Computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel as well as accounting packages & other database competencies.
- Computer literacy (Word, Excel)-Reporting skills
- Working knowledge of a range of donor rules and regulations.
