Emotional Intelligence Trainer

Basmeh and Zeitooneh is a registered Lebanese organization, committed to serving refugees and vulnerable communities in Lebanon, through four community centers across the country. The organization runs educational, relief, livelihoods, and protection programs, and aims to serve as an inclusive and supportive focal point for the entire community.

Job Purpose: Emotional Intelligence trainer will manage and provide Emotional intelligence training to  B&Z staff in Shatila Area.

Major Activities :

Provision of Emotional Intelligence Support :

Emotional intelligence is to guide B&Z staff to understand, use, and manage their own emotions in positive ways to relieve stress, communicate effectively, empathize with others, overcome challenges and defuse conflict and increase professional productivity.

  • Trainer will be providing 3 days for B&Z staff who have been selected for this training in Shatila Camp
  •  This would help them be able to continue responding properly to running projects and to the emergency project in particular.
  • The trainer will coordinate closely with B&Z HR and Livelihood officer and with the tools manuals for revisions, brainstorming and for best practices approach.

Reporting :

  • Delivery of a comprehensive reporting package that also includes an analysis of the findings on the well-being status of B&Z involved staff and volunteers,
  • Final reporting package should be delivered after the training directly.

Key Performance Indicators :

  • Working within the principles of the Code of Conduct.
  • Ensuring that beneficiaries have access to the appropriate service.
  • Ensuring that the Foundation’s team interacts with beneficiaries within the principles of the B&Z, especially preserving dignity and avoiding psychological harm.
  • Achieving the required number of beneficiaries at the end of the program while ensuring the quality of work.
  • Ensure that a safe environment is provided for the staff in the training,
  • Create positive communication with the team.

Delegation of Authority : Reporting in Case of any violation in Safe Guarding Policy

Education & Experience :

  • University degree or equivalent in a related field
  • 3 to 5 years of job experience relevant to the function, in a comparable environment with non-governmental organizations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience in delivering training according to tight deadlines.
  • Professional experience in Emotional intelligence training.
  • Good skills in anticipating problems and developing solutions; - Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Ability to deal with administration and documentation.
  • Knowledge of English written and spoken.
  • Computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel as well as accounting packages & other database competencies.
  • Computer literacy (Word, Excel)-Reporting skills
  • Working knowledge of a range of donor rules and regulations.

  • Experience in conflict/post-conflict contexts, with experience in supporting emergency responses, access and security analysis, and management
