Graphic Designer

Background Information:

The Community Organization for Development and Empowerment-TCODE-INITIATE is a Nongovernmental, nonprofit, youth-oriented organization based in Lebanon and dedicated to assisting vulnerable communities through youth inclusion and empowerment. While keeping youth at its focus of its mission, TCODE-INITIATE continually endeavors in creating comprehensive and inclusive programs aimed towards the empowerment of youth, and its concentric circles of influence.

In the process of delivering its Mission TCODE-INITIATE aspires to keeping its status as a hub for youth allowing them to: access a safe space, and acquire knowledge and access to a network of social and political influencers enhancing their social participation in decision making processes.

Purpose of the Consultancy:                                                                                                                  

The purpose of this consultancy is to work on T-CODE INITIATE’s visibility, be responsible for developing and managing the overall branding,  and layout and design assets for digital and print production.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize and create specific graphic design assets including infographics/fact graphs for print and web, to communicate key messages around specific topics
• Design of website and social media assets
• Design of various communication material (reports,banners, posters, booklets, leaflets, books, calendars, bulletins, reports and infographics, animated presentations) for printing and electronic distribution.
• Develop and maintain an up-to date and diverse visual archive 
• Ability to create a visual identity of a whole campaign.
• Create different illustrative materials such as animation, presentations and design packaging
• Ensure that all publications, reports and products are produced in line with INITIATE’s graphic guidelines and donor requirements

  Qualifications Required

• Bachelor degree in Graphic Design or related field
• Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media and marketing
• 3+ years’ experience of strong practical background in graphic design and graphic design software, including but not limited to: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After effects, Flash and the rest of the Adobe Creative Suite.
• Proven experience of graphic production from start to digitally published or printed product;
• Proven experience in the creation of specific graphic design assets, including infographics (for print and digital), data visualization, gif animation and interactive presentations.
• High organizational skills
• High degree of autonomy, personal initiative and ability to take ownership
• Proven ability to deliver under tight deadlines.
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude
• Experience in front end and web design is preferred.
• Ability to occasionally work on existing video templates
