About Sharekkna
Sharekkna is an online service for CSOs, NGOs, Startups, & specialists, where they can share 60-second videos about their work to show their social impact. Sharekkna has 2 objectives: To spread verified knowledge through specialists & expose the social impact of organizations to their stakeholders.
Job Overview
Sharekkna MENA invites specialists from the MENA to make their individual contribution to sustainable food consumption and help in the vision to make SDGs real by spreading online recipes that are not only delicious but also good for the planet and good for us.
The main task for this internship is to put in place a project plan for the #60secondrecipe project and implement it with the support of the Sharekkna Internship program. The project objective is to get on board amateur and specialist chefs and bakers who will film 60-second videos about sustainable recipes. Because achieving the SDGs related to food security and nutrition is a shared responsibility, we are raising awareness on sustainable food consumption in the MENA region to promote change in community behavior.
This internship is within the External Relations and Communications Section of Sharekkna. The intern reports directly to the Internship program.
Sharekkna Internship is done usually over 30 consecutive days. The intern will have a target to achieve at the end of every internship with a final report submitted to track and follow up on the work done. This may be exceptionally extended. The internship certificate is awarded on the recommendation of the direct supervisor.
Interns are not financially remunerated because Sharekkna is a free service for community awareness. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation, and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions. Sharekkna accepts no responsibility for the medical insurance of the intern or costs arising from injury, illness, or death that may occur during an internship.

Major responsibilities:
Daily responsibilities will depend on the individual’s background and the intern’s assigned tasks.
Nothing is obligatory. Flexibility is here. We care about the outcome and care not to overwhelm the intern with unnecessary stress.
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Planning and organizing information.
- Collecting data that can be helpful.
- Contacting people who are interested to get on board.
- Collecting content.
- Drafting and preparing press releases.
- Reporting for news stories.
- Doing interviews or podcasts with members on board.
- Following up
- Assisting in other activities as instructed.

• Have minimal knowledge in project management.
• Be knowledgeable in the field of food and nutrition.
• Be enrolled at least in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent); or
• have graduated with a university degree.
• Be computer literate in standard software applications, in particular, Microsoft Word and Excel;
• Have a demonstrated ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, which include willingness to try and understand and be tolerant of differing opinions and views.
• Applicants are not required to have professional work experience for participation in this internship program.
