Call for short-term Agriculture Key Experts (STAKE roster membership)

Objective:

This call for roster membership is planned to help AgriDev identify professional consultants that might be hired to provide technical agriculture services under different projects. Candidates who meet the minimum criteria/requirements will be invited to join AgriDev roster. The roster enables AgriDev to answer various technical assistance requests within a short timeframe and build a trustful relationship with selected candidates and clients.

The primary list of technical expertise that might be requested is the following:

• Agriculture marketing and market assessment
• Livestock management and rangeland management
• Apiculture
• Medicinal and aromatic value chain development
• Food packaging
• Agriculture technologies including digital transformation
• Use of alternative energy in agriculture  
• Agriculture inputs supply
• Greenhouse management and horticulture nurseries
• Agriculture research  
• Hydroponic production
• Healthy diets and local food habits
• Agriculture extension
• Climate smart production
• Food systems management
• Food loss and waste
• Agriculture trade
• Agri-tourism

Minimum requirements:

• BSc or MSc degree in agriculture or related areas (development studies, food security, etc.)
• Minimum 5-7 years of previous experience in the area of expertise selected
• Conducted individual field consultancies in Lebanon in the last 3 years (list them in the resume) with UN agencies, INGOs, NGOs, Private sector, etc.
• Knowledge of various food systems in Lebanon
• Good English and/or French writing skills
• Good communication skills
