Speech Therapist

Main Responsibilities of the Position

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Provide training and education to family/caregivers and other professionals
• Collaborate with Social Workers and psychologist and prepare reports.
• Prepare awareness sessions for parents and tutors when needed

Qualifications & Skills

• Compassion and strong commitment for refugees and other displaced people.
• Speech Therapist Degree
• Minimum of 3 professional years of experience in the field.
• Reliable, honest, hardworking and a self-motivated person.
• Proven experience in managing people/teams in low resource environments.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work within different cultural environments.
• Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
• Ability to perform under pressure, to cope with stressful workloads, and to work with limited resources.

The services shall be rendered for Five hours [1 hour - 60 minutes] per week, twice per month excluding official holidays. The weekly schedule must be in prior agreement with the MHPSS Project Director.
