Suspended Solar System ToR

What is Ruwwad

Ruwwad Al-Tanmeya is a regional non-profit community development organization that works with disenfranchised communities through education, youth volunteerism and grassroots organizing. Our approach encompasses an array of programs and projects that, together, strengthen initiative and facilitate redress to problems prioritized by members of the community.

Three main programs anchor Ruwwad: Child Development, Youth Organizing and Community Support.

Three basic values shape every program or activity at Ruwwad Al-Tanmeya: secularism, diversity, and equity.

Objectives of this ToR:

Ruwwad seeks to design, engineer and build a scalable suspended solar system on the available space on its rooftop and other open spaces, to generate solar-power energy sufficient to run the building’s essential facilities for a minimum of 8h daily.

Deliverables:
  • Energy report.
  • EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) activities.
  • Testing and Handover procedures.
Scope:

The awarded candidate’s scope of work will include:

  • Generate energy audit report
  • Take measurements and Generate CAD drawings
  • Design proper solar solution with simulation, designs, SLDs, datasheets and renders (if possible)
  • Procure necessary material and labor
  • Complete construction works as agreed upon with Ruwwad
  • Test solution
  • Perform training to assigned Ruwwad staff
  • Final handover and project sign-off.
Technical Specs:
  • Autonomy: 8h/day at least.
  • Solar Panels: to require minimal or no-maintenance, should be 2m*1m and should be able to deliver at least 300Wp for every panel. Both monocrystalline and polycrystalline are accepted, as well as any other technology available.
  • Batteries: Maintenance free or low maintenance batteries, can be Deep Cycle / Tubular, lithium based or others. Minimum lifetime of 5 years and/or 3000 cycles at 80% DoD. Battery casing should be weather sealed.
  • Inverter: efficiency above 95% with internal SPD, high MPPT and high power factor. Should include LED reading screen and should be IP65 protected at least.
  • Mount structure: metallic steel structure, to rise at least 2.2m above rooftop floor, and to withstand wind speeds up to 225 km/h
  • Backup time: 8h daily for the essential load at a minimum, without the need of an external power source such as generator or EDL

All material should be covered with warranty, respective datasheets and country of origin must be provided by awarded contractor for approval in due time.

All material should conform to local safety and power regulations.
