Freelance Photographer

The Legal Agenda is seeking to hire a freelance photographer to provide photographic coverage, as directed by Legal Agenda personnel, of assigned events, meetings, or missions for use on Legal Agenda’s website, social media accounts, digital and print publications.

The Legal Agenda (LA) is a Beirut-based nonprofit research and advocacy organization with offices in Lebanon and Tunisia and correspondents in several other Arab countries. It was established in December 2009 by a group of legal professionals, scholars, and human rights activists who institutionalized their efforts to build a critical and multidisciplinary approach to law and justice in Arab countries with a special focus on political, civil, social, and economic rights.

Main Responsibilities

• Travel to assigned sites and events (e.g. Beirut, Tripoli, Hermel, etc.)
• Manage an efficient post-production process and produce high-quality photos as per the instructions on the expectations of coverage
• Deliver a selection of the best edited images (e.g. 20 or fewer, but inclusive of all key moments) as well as 2nd 20 best raw photos with metadata in all of the photographs.

Consultant Profile:

• Fluent in Arabic
• Ability to deliver high quality work even when under pressure;
• Excellent photography skills;
• Proven experience in working with post-processing software;
• Well equipped with professional grade photography equipment
• Demonstrate an understanding of the communication requirements of a non-profit organization
• Good understanding of new and evolving technologies and digital platforms
