Background:
S/he is a member of the field area team which includes the field medical advisor, the area pharmacist, the senior health officer, the health officers, the quality officers, and the program assistants per area.
The health officer will provide both technical and financial support to local primary health care (PHC) centers. Mainly, s/he will facilitate the implementation of medical outreach activities targeting Mild-to-Moderate COVID-19 patients isolating at their homes.
Job Purpose:
In charge of monitoring and improving the COVID-19 PHC Medical Outreach activity at a number of supported primary health care centers.
Main Responsibilities:
- Monitor IMC’s program activities at supported facilities through daily field visits for data collection, feedback, assessment and follow up of health service delivery, mainly for the COVID-19 medical outreach activity.
- Accompanies the field team on regular basis to ensure that safety measures are taken, PPEs are used according to MoPH guidelines, vital signs and other parameters are taken correctly.
- Follow up with the community health team to assess new locations within the catchment areas of the PHCCs.
- Conduct follow up based on report provided by MEAL team on services provided to ensure best delivery of the services.
- Establish a plan to regularly communicate with PHCC directors about MoPH/IMC COVID-19 safety protocols; notify PHCC Director of any major changes in MoPH and IMC safety recommendations and protocols.
- Coordinate internally with other IMC Field Staff to ensure smooth and proper implementation of program:
- Coordinate closely with the Program Assistant to ensure all proper documents are available for payments at the supported facility.
- Identify supply and equipment needs for the COVID-19 outreach activity.
- Refer patients to other IMC sectors for services
- Ensure that data report is updated accurately and in a timely manner. Develop monthly reports.
- Weekly follow up on proper data entry on the health information system at PHCCs. Monitor weekly EWARN submission to MoPH and report EWARN findings to area manager and area medical advisors.
- Report any updates, trend and challenges from the field to the health area manager.
- Attend regular IMC meetings, as required.
- Perform any other duties as requested by Senior Health Area Manager
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in Nursing or Public Health
Essential Experience:
0-1 year of working experience as a Registered Nurse in Lebanon
Desirable Experience:
- NGO experience
- Experience in Primary Health care
- Experience in working with COVID-19 patients/setting.
