Animators / Puppeteers

Basmeh and Zeitooneh is a registered Lebanese organization, committed to serving refugees and vulnerable communities in Lebanon, through four community centers across the country. The organization runs educational, relief, livelihoods, and protection programs, and aims to serve as an inclusive and supportive focal point for the entire community.

Job Purpose: Provide Animated/ Muppet theatre sessions for children at our Learning Center in Shatila.

Major Activities :

• The Shatila Learning Center is seeking Animators/ Puppeteers to provide sessions for Children in the Learning Center. The Sessions should include messages promoting hygiene, nonviolence, and promoting education. The sessions will run over a period of 2 to 3 until August 15th.
• Prior experience with acting, animating, and entertaining children is a must, preferable prior experience with working in an NGO setting and experience working with vulnerable children.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with children in tented settlements or with the refugee population.
• Must be able to work with children aged 7 to 14 with demonstrated understanding of child safeguarding.
