Enumerator

Description of the position:

REACH and ACTED Lebanon are seeking to recruit a cadre of pre-qualified quantitative enumerators. The enumerators will be conducting a country-wide multi-sector needs assessment (MSNA). Enumerators should be available during the month of September and potentially early October, on a full-time basis.

The ideal candidate has significant experience with or training in quantitative data collection and enjoys interacting with people. Candidates will preferably have experience with:

• Entering survey responses using mobile data collection technology (e.g., KoBo Toolbox, ONA, Survey123, etc.) on mobile phones or tablets
• Conducting face-to-face household quantitative interviews 
• Conducting phone-based quantitative interviews

Candidates should be charismatic and dynamic, respectful, detail-oriented, proactive, and have experience working with people from marginalized communities.

The MSNA is country-wide, and therefore REACH and ACTED Lebanon are actively seeking candidates based anywhere in the country. Candidates will need to commute to Beirut in early September for training.  All work days will be paid, including training, preparation, and data collection.

Mandatory knowledge or experience

• Demonstrated experience in quantitative data collection
• Fluency in spoken and written Arabic; full proficiency in spoken and written English
• Strong interpersonal skills and confidence interacting with people of any background
• Familiarity with best practices for interviewing and working with vulnerable populations

Preferred qualifications or experience

• Experience working with non-governmental organizations and/or outreach and community work
• Experience with both phone-based and in-person quantitative data collection
• Experience with mobile data collection (KoBo Toolbox, ONA, Survey123, etc.)

Full proficiency in languages other than Arabic and English that are regularly used by communities in Lebanon, including but not limited to French, Armenian, and Amharic, is not expected but is a plus
