Job Title: Project Coordinator
Supervisor/Reports to: Director of Fraternity Association
Duty Station/Location: Burj el Barajneh (Beirut) and Al Buss (Tyr) Palestinian camps
Working Days: 5 days a week (Tuesday-Saturday) from 9:00 until 15:00
Project Duration: 1 year (Extendable)
About the Project: Under the guidance and supervision of Director of Fraternity Association, the Project Coordinator is accountable for managing and leading the youth project funded by DanChurchAid (DCA) in Burj el Barajneh (Beirut) and Al Buss (Tyr) Palestinian camps. The project aims at promoting well-being, resilience and social cohesion among host and refugee populations, specifically youth in Beirut and Tyre. The project offers courses which include training in critical thinking, leadership skills, teamwork, communication skills, citizenship, employability, conflict transformation, anger management and body Language for youth, in Burj el Barajneh camp and in Al Buss camp (01/455441).
Main Duties:
- Maintain and monitor project plans, project schedules and work hours
- Organize, attend, and participate in relevant meetings.
- Document and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
- Prepare necessary presentation materials for meetings.
- Ensure project deadlines are met.
- Determine project changes.
- Provide administrative support as needed.
- Undertake project tasks as required.
- Develop project strategies.
- Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.
- Chair and facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute minutes to all project team members.
Education: Bachelor's degree in business or related field of study.
Experience:
- A minimum of three years of experience in project management. Experience in youth projects is a requirement.
- Experience in working on Palestinian programming issues is a strong asset.
- Good verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of file management and other administrative procedures.
- Ability to work on tight deadlines.
Language Requirements: Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
Salary Range: $600-$800 (Fresh Dollars)
