Socio-Economic Enhance and Development (SEED) is a non-profit, secular, and non-governmental organization based in Tripoli, North Lebanon.
The core value of SEED is to empower individuals and communities in order to create an independent and prosperous society. We give people a hand up, not a hand out. The way we do this is through projects offering education, equipping people with vocational skills, and providing information on matters such as health and legal. We encourage volunteering and delivery of services by the community, for the community.
Period of Performance: 20 sessions over 2 months (December 2021 – January 2022); 100$/session, for a total of 2000$.
The role:
As part of EPATL program (Enhancing Public Accountability and Trust in Lebanon), SEED NGO has been selected to conduct research and advocacy initiatives on youth civic engagement in Greater Tripoli.
We’re looking for a Youth trainer to deliver in-person training on leadership, civic engagement, volunteering etc. using a variety of interactive methodologies to enhance youth understanding and capacity to civic engagement, social accountability and participation.
Specific tasks:
- Develop training material (PowerPoint presentations/Handouts) and agenda, in cooperation with a social researcher that, in the first phase of the project, will have investigated the causes of youth's lack of civic engagement in Tripoli.
- In-person training delivery.
- Conduct a needs assessment for the beneficiaries to build a relevant curriculum.
- Create a detailed plan to complete the sessions for all the youth groups on time.
- Help youth identifying initiatives that benefit their community.
- Prepare youth to advertise and defend their initiatives and link them to relevant stakeholders.
- Keep attendance and other records; produce final report.
Minimum Qualifications: Youth trainer with 2+ years’ experience with non-profit organizations; university degree in relevant field.
