Monitoring, evaluation, and reporting Assistant

Under direct supervision of the technical Officer TB/HIV in Lebanon and the overall guidance of the Head of IOM Office in Lebanon and with a view to achieve the expected results to promote equitable access to vaccines for vulnerable population, the incumbent will have the following responsibilities:

  1. Develop/refine the methodology for accurate and prompt field data collection, on the numbers of COVID-19 vaccinated beneficiaries disaggregated by age, gender and nationality.
  2. Analyse this data using epidemiological methods and statistical software such as Excel, SPSS and Strata.
  3. Draft monthly reports on the numbers of COVID19 vaccinated beneficiaries among migrants and vulnerable host communities, with data disaggregated by age, gender and nationality.
  4. Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly reports on the project.
  5. Conduct regular field visits to the implemented activities.
  6. Prepare, design and implement any necessary surveys, such as baseline surveys, reviews, evaluations or lesson learning exercises or other relevant studies, in response to operational requirements in coordination with the DTM department.
  7. Regularly review M&E plans to ensure the relevance of activities with the objectives of the Project
  8. Support the efficient and effective delivery of emergency reporting on the operation (including ops updates, situation reports, information bulletins, facts & figures or other relevant reports).
  9. Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis and write research reports

 

  1. Monitor health projects’ process, specifically with the aim of increasing effectiveness and recommending appropriate actions in coordination with the TB/HIV technical officer.
  2. Assists with the design and implementation of a monitoring and evaluation system that measures the effectiveness of project initiatives.  
  3. Monitors and evaluates overall progress on achievements of results;
  4. Assists in coordinating across the available components of the Project to ensure effective implementation of M&E.
  5. Assists the project personnel with M&E tools and supports them in their use.
  6. Develops testing procedures for assessing quality.
  7. Prepare inputs for notes, speeches, presentations and reports based on the information generated by the Program
  8. Helps build staff and counterpart capacity in M&E and data processing/reporting.
  9. Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

University degree or higher / equivalent in health related field (preferably, epidemiology, medical sciences, medical informatics, or biostatistics); Solid knowledge of monitoring and evaluation methodologies and tools, minimum two years of relevant work experience, Experience in the public health sector in Lebanon; knowledge of project development, implementation and monitoring is an advantage, demonstrated understanding of the humanitarian system through work experience and/or studies, willingness to undertake frequent travel to field locations across Lebanon.
