Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning System
- Continuously develop knowledge on all MEAL tools and processes implemented within the organization and become involved in the future plans of the department
- Provide support to the MEAL Coordinator in improving MEAL system
- Work on implementation of and follow-up on MEAL plans, strategies, processes and tools with field project teams while complying to SAMS and donor standards
- Provide occasional training on basic MEAL to beneficiaries in participatory-approach projects, and field staff on the use of tools provided by MEAL to ensure proper data flow
- Delivering any other responsibility related to MEAL assigned by the MEAL Coordinator
Monitoring, information management and reporting
- Support in developing/improving/updating tools for data collection, processing and analysis, taking into consideration standard policies and mutual stakeholder standards
- Conduct monitoring activities and collect valid, relevant, accurate and timely data to inform on project performance
- Supervise enumerators when hired for data collection activities on selected evaluation activities
- Efficiently and effectively coordinate between senior management and field staff on assigned activities
- Conduct data cleaning and analysis on raw data submitted by programs at the end of each month
- Properly and responsibly store and manage project and MEAL data and files
- Abide by highest ethical behavior based on the ‘Do No Harm’ principle, ethical research standards, principles of consent and human rights
- Report to and alert the project team on a regular basis regarding any anticipated project issues, risks and any emerging opportunities and threats to the project implementation related to this role.
- Write well-structured reports on indicators performance, targets and projections or other as required
- Contribute in designing and reviewing a monthly visual dashboard reporting on activities at the national level to be shared with HQ and other stakeholders (data visualization)
Accountability
- Operate CFRM hotline and commit to timely handling, reporting and feedback according to SAMS CFRM policies and standards
Evaluation and Learning
- Share relevant MEAL findings with projects teams in an appropriate format and follow-up on their implementation.
- Support the implementation of evaluation recommendations at field level
- Collecting best practices, case studies which demonstrate qualitative and quantitative changes over the period.
Organize/support field-based reviews and learning events.
