Restoring Family Links Officer - Syria Support

The Syria Protection Support Office works closely with the Protection colleagues in Syria for the implementation of all protection activities, in the framework of priorities, objectives and strategies set by the Protection Department in Syria.

Purpose:

The Syria Support Restoring Family Links (RFL) Field Officer supports the implementation and monitoring of ICRC restoring family links activities set by the Syria delegation for the Syria Protection Support (SPS) in Beirut.

Certifications/Education Required:

University diploma.

2 - 3 years’ experience in similar field

Good command of Arabic and English is required. French is an asset

Computer proficiency.

Responsibility, autonomy, ability to set priorities.

Excellent planning and organization skills.

Very Good communication skills.

Ability to work in a team.

Good experience and knowledge with archiving and filing.

Functional Responsibilities:

Supports the line manager in the implementation of protection activities in Syria in line with existing RFL guidelines and working procedures.

Ensures that proper individual follow-up of cases is provided, by communicating with other ICRC structures, the sub-delegations in Syria and National Societies.

Provides Backoffice support to the protection teams in the field.

Undertakes filing and archiving tasks in line with standard procedures.

Translates or interprets upon request.

Contributes to reporting and the collection of statistical data.

Carries out administrative tasks relating to the follow-up of RFL activities.
