Champions of Change / Awareness Sessions Facilitators

Common Effort is a Lebanese non-profit, non-governmental and non-political organization that was created by a group of youth in 2010. Our mission is to help society prevent family violence, child protection, drug abuse and provide legal aid. We have since extended our help to renovating homes and shelters. Our vision is to be the trusted shelter to every abused victim, and the hope to all the people in need. This project implemented by RDFL in partnership with Plan International funded by SIDA will contribute further to civil society strengthening through multiple approaches and modalities. It will increase the enjoyment of human rights by women and girls and the advancement of gender equality in a vibrant and pluralistic civil society.

The Champions of Change (COC) modality aims to enhance the youth, girls’, and boys’ knowledge, and behavior related to gender equality, GBV, and SRHR, and support adolescents in building their capacity to drive certain actions. The adolescents and youth supported by the CBOs will, together, agree on preparing and leading initiatives to promote gender equality, access SRH information, and services, build on local strategies and activities designed by the CBOs in their expression of interest (Outcome 1) to ensure access for adolescents and youth to SRH services, quality and timely.
