Field Officer

Main Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and implement project activities following the standards set by the technical department and respecting the administrative, logistical and communication procedures.
• Provide Technical support on Construction to 60 cash-workers on site.
• Identify the needs and gaps within the project and develop a work plan with the concerned personnel based on the results of the previous month (including technical recommendations).
• Collaborate with the M&E department and facilitate data collection and validation through different M&E tools if/when needed.
• Conduct relevant research and provide technical expertise to support the program.
• Provide lessons learned from the field and suggest improvements regarding the activities’ implementation
• Maintain the archiving system up to date (both in hardcopies and electronically).
• Be involved in the review and adaptation of technical materials as recommended by the coordinator.
• The Local Engineer has to be the key field employee in charge of:

1. Organization and monitoring of construction activities in the building sites, including detailed needs assessment;
2. Checking the quality of the materials that have to be utilized for the implementation of the works before their installation in order to ensure the following up of the technical specifications of the works provided and to strictly follow the project managers’ advices;
3. Preparing weekly progress reports (e.g., measurements of the performed works);

• Monitor the attendance of 60 cash-workers in the sites of operation
• Collect Time sheets from 60 cash-workers
• Monitor the delivery and quality of daily meals received at the site of operation
• Monitor and track the transportation of 60 cash-workers
• Attend meetings upon request
• Submit Daily, weekly and monthly reports to the Project Coordinator about the progress of the project.

Qualifications:

• Education: bachelor degree in Civil Engineering
• Years of experience: 1 to 2 years.
• Competency profile: flexibility, planning skills, communication skills, teamwork skills, result-oriented, initiative and professionalism.
• Computer literacy: excellent in work and excel.
• Languages: Excellent in Spoken and written in English and Arabic.
