Clinical Social Worker ( Female Candidate )

Basmeh and Zeitooneh is a registered Lebanese organization, committed to serving refugees and vulnerable communities in Lebanon, through four community centers across the country. The organization runs educational, relief, livelihoods, and protection programs, and aims to serve as an inclusive and supportive focal point for the entire community.

Job Purpose: The project objective is Children’s understanding of violence and alternatives to violence are improved through peace education.

Major Responsibilities :

Under this project Basmeh & Zeitooneh is seeking to recruit a Clinical social worker (Female Candidate) who will be responsible to:

• Consult, assess, coordinate and implement a plan for intervention to ensure the psychological, social, and physical well-being of the refugee and host community members through confidential documentation.
• Follow up on the cases referred by the facilitators of the peace education sessions.
• Advise the team on the appropriate ways to respond, manage and/or refer specific cases and coordinate with them on the most effective ways to deal with the referred child during the sessions.
• Coordinate with the facilitators to assist in organizing and providing individual and/or group psychosocial support sessions with the referred child.
• Provide case management and referrals to specialized organizations and health facilities as well as legal and education service providers, according to the specific needs of individual cases;
• Participate in capacity-building training related to the area of operations and the scope of the protection programs.
• Provide information to service-seekers on existing social, educational, and health services and how to access them within their area of residence.
• Manage data recording and organization, and submit monthly reports, concerning the implemented outreach activities, case observation and identification, progress in each case, referrals, focal points meetings, and related challenges.
• Follow-up with the caregivers of the children and youths in the project to support them and give them advice.
• Conduct focused group sessions with children when needed.
• Conduct caregiver support sessions when needed.
• Conduct information sessions with caregivers when needed.
• Assist the facilitators during the sessions when needed.

Education, Experience, and Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Family counseling, Clinical or Systemic psychology A Master's degree is a plus.
• At least 3 to 4 years of experience of working in the humanitarian field or same field (previous experience of working with ladies is a plus)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and team working skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work within different cultural environments;
• Highly approachable, trustworthy, and maintain confidentiality
• Ability to perform under pressure, cope with stressful workloads, and work with limited resources.
• Ability to write and edit reports

Contract Duration: 3 months (October, November, December)
