Practical Trainer in Dairy Production

The practical trainer will work under the project "Employability, mentorship and soft skills program for youth in Akkar, North Lebanon and Mount Lebanon", funded by Germany through German Development Bank KFW, and the government of the Netherlands, with the support of UNICEF. This project is implemented by Mada Association in partnership with Empower.

The project aims at providing short term training to a group of dropout and unemployed Lebanese, Syrian and Palestinians youth; the training will include theoretical sessions (45 Sessions) and practical sessions (45 Sessions) and 100 hours of apprenticeship through internships in SME, municipalities or cooperatives.

The practical trainer will conduct the program of 90 hours, in 15 days targeting two groups (45 Hours each grouop) of youth between 18 and 25 youth

Role and Responsibilities:

• Activity 1: to animate the theoretical training according to the curriculum that was validated by Mada's team.

The content developed during the classes should be based on the curriculum prepared by MADA and should include:

• Definition of Milk
• Introduction to food safety and its importance
• Establishing dairy laboratories and the health conditions that must be met
• Introduction to milk processing, cheese and dairy processing
• Manufacture of dairy products
• Manufacture of cheese
• Definition of goat milk and its derivatives
• Manufacture of sweets from cheese and dairy

• Activity 2: to prepare a pre/post Test
• Activity 3: to prepare the list of materials and equipment needed
• Activity 4: to fill the daily attendance sheets of the trainees, daily sheets and final sheets
• Activity 5: to submit at the end of the training a report including:
  • Brief Summary of the workflow of the training
  • Challenges and Problems faced
  • Recommandetions and Solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in Agriculture engineering and/or related fields.
• Previous experience in Animal Production Department
• Previous experience in Training and Education
