FALA needs assessment & proposal writing

The aim of this assignment is to:

  1. Assess the needs (at different levels) of the registered FA patients, in close coordination with FALA Management
  2. Consult with relevant actors and stakeholders to design interventions to support FA patients in Lebanon
  3. Develop a well-elaborated proposal (narrative and budget), based on the findings of the needs assessment conducted and in line with FALA’s mission. The proposal is expected to outline the intervention(s) that FALA should implement to address the different needs of its beneficiaries, the FA patients and in some cases their caregivers, in Lebanon.

 

Audience and Use: The key audiences of the study are the FA patients, their caregivers, FALA, the donors, medical body (specialized doctors and therapists the local Community Based Organizations, and other relevant stakeholders in the project areas. The findings, based on quantitative and qualitative data, will provide FALA with a clearer picture, of how the intervention(s) can be structured to address the needs of the FA patients in Lebanon in a holistic way.

  • Cover Letter clearly explaining how the applicant’s skills and experience fit the criteria;
  • Up-to-date Curriculum Vitae(s);
  • Technical proposal (including understanding and comments on the ToRs, methodology, data collection tools, workplan including number of days to fulfill each task, with clear timeframe for each activity under workplan and deliverable, and if relevant, details on team composition and organization);
  • Financial proposal (inclusive of VAT).  FALA will not provide transportation or accommodation.
  • Sample of previous needs assessment where applicant was the sole or lead author of the work;  and
  • Two references.
