Life skills officer

  • Plan and implement Life skills sessions and youth led initiatives adapted to the youth profile and needs following the methodologies set by the livelihood department.
  • Encourage the development of positive peer relationships among program participants.
  • Guide and track youth development following life skills sessions and youth lead initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development/revision of sessions materials based on field observations and relevant trainings.
  • Provide comprehensive reports along the year including quantitative data and full descriptive narrative.
  • Ensure the success of the organized activities respecting logistical, administrative and communication processes aligned with donor’s rules and requirements.
  • Collaborate with the M&E department and facilitate data collection and validation through different M&E tools (Focus group discussion, surveys, database…)
  • Maintain the archiving system up to date (both in hardcopies and electronically).
  • Provide lessons learned from the field and suggest improvements regarding the activities’ implementation.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the integrated approach of the program.
  • Conduct relevant research and provide technical expertise to support the program
  • Refer CP, GBV and youth with special needs cases to the case manager for a professional intervention and follow up (direct intervention and/or external referral as needed).
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the integrated approach of the program.
  • Given the nature and function of AVSI Lebanon as AVSI Mena hub, and on request, and in case of need; to collaborate with the regional structure in Lebanon / Mena.
