Education Trainer (Consultant) - Beirut - National Candidates Only

Scope of work

The consultant will be responsible to support IRC Education Department in building the capacity of Education Staff on Pedagogical Approaches in Education.

Provide participants with Student-Centered Teaching Methods:

1. Differentiated Instruction through Content, Process, Product, and Learning Environment. Participants must become proactive in adjusting teaching and learning methods to accommodate each child's readiness, interest and learning profile, to achieve maximum growth as a learner.
2. Inquiry Based Learning focusing on its different phases and emphasizing Questioning Strategies by describing and using different types of questioning to engage students in critical thinking and asking questions and responding to answers in an active and engaging way.

Provide Participants with Blended Learning Knowledge in design, implementation, strategies, and best practices. Leading the participants into understanding each student’s learning style and develop strategies to teach every learner by building flexibility and choice into the curriculum.

The consultant will need to use interactive and creative techniques to keep the participants engaged throughout the training. He/She will need strong skills and background in education including developing pedagogical content and developing curriculum planning content and tools. Learning materials will need to be in English and Arabic Language and Motivational learning must be embedded throughout the training.

This consultancy should be concluded by the presentation of a clear report in English tackling the capacity building provided including pre and post evaluation; all supportive document used and recommendations for upcoming trainings.

Deliverables:

• Training Material Development: 6 days.
• Conduct two full day training on December 1 & 2: 2 days.
• Reporting: 1 day.

Payment Rate and Schedule:

Payment upon completion of all deliverables.

Requirements:

• Advanced University degree in related field such as Education, Social Sciences.
• Strong background in education including developing content as such curriculum design and pedagogical approaches.
• Proven work experience as an Education Training Consultant.
• Experience with various training methods, including e-learning and coaching, and ability to keep trainees engaged with interactive sessions.
• Strong facilitation oral communication skills with demonstrated ability of making effective presentations to diverse attendees.
• Excellent writing and communication skills with ability to present ideas and concepts concisely in written and oral form is required.
• Strong understanding of educational content in Lebanon.
