LOST is seeking to recruit a Physical Therapist in Deir El-Ahmar- Kamed Louz- Housh El-Harime- Majdal Anjar- Barlias
Position Aim:
- This position is responsible for restoring patient's function, alleviating pain, and preventing disabilities by planning and administering medically prescribed physical therapy.
- Properly assess, diagnose, support and treat physical health and substance use cases; respond to emergency cases.
Main responsibilities:
- Prevent the onset, symptoms, and progression of impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities that may result from diseases, disorders, or injuries.
- Diagnose and manage movement dysfunction and enhance physical and functional abilities for elderly.
- Plan, prepare and carry out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning.
- Engage in the examination process that includes taking the patient/client history, conducting a systems’ review to identify potential and existing problems.
- Administer manual exercises and massage to help relieve pain, increase the patient's strength, and decrease or prevent deformity and crippling.
- Provide educational information about physical therapy and physical therapists, injury prevention, and ways to promote health.
- Assures continuation of therapeutic plan by designing exercise programs
- Reviewing patients’ medical histories
- Diagnosing patients by observing their movements and listening to their concerns
- Developing individualized treatment plans for patients
- Outlining clear goals for patients and the expected outcomes of the plan
- Using exercises, stretching, equipment, and hands-on therapy to manage patients’ pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury
- Recording patients’ progress and modifying the plan of care if needed
- Educating patients and family members about the recovery process
- Consulting with patients to learn about their physical condition and symptoms
- Diagnosing movement dysfunction and developing a treatment plan
- Assisting patients with the use of equipment such as wheelchairs or walkers
- Advising the patient and family about in-home treatment options and exercises
