Physical Therapist

LOST is seeking to recruit a Physical Therapist in Deir El-Ahmar- Kamed Louz- Housh El-Harime- Majdal Anjar- Barlias

Position Aim:

• This position is responsible for restoring patient's function, alleviating pain, and preventing disabilities by planning and administering medically prescribed physical therapy.
• Properly assess, diagnose, support and treat physical health and substance use cases; respond to emergency cases.

Main responsibilities:

• Prevent the onset, symptoms, and progression of impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities that may result from diseases, disorders, or injuries.
• Diagnose and manage movement dysfunction and enhance physical and functional abilities for elderly.
• Plan, prepare and carry out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning.
• Engage in the examination process that includes taking the patient/client history, conducting a systems’ review to identify potential and existing problems.
• Administer manual exercises and massage to help relieve pain, increase the patient's strength, and decrease or prevent deformity and crippling.
• Provide educational information about physical therapy and physical therapists, injury prevention, and ways to promote health.
• Assures continuation of therapeutic plan by designing exercise programs
• Reviewing patients’ medical histories
• Diagnosing patients by observing their movements and listening to their concerns 
• Developing individualized treatment plans for patients 
• Outlining clear goals for patients and the expected outcomes of the plan
• Using exercises, stretching, equipment, and hands-on therapy to manage patients’ pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury 
• Recording patients’ progress and modifying the plan of care if needed 
• Educating patients and family members about the recovery process 
• Consulting with patients to learn about their physical condition and symptoms
• Diagnosing movement dysfunction and developing a treatment plan
• Assisting patients with the use of equipment such as wheelchairs or walkers
• Advising the patient and family about in-home treatment options and exercises
