ECD Network Coordinator

Tasks and responsibilities 
A) Coordination

• Lead the action plan implementation in coordination with the programs’ manager and ANECD director
• Ensure the alignment of the ANECD action plan and activities with the ANECD strategy
• Work closely with ANECD Management Team to plan and execute ANECD meetings
• Support the ANECD committees’ constitution and follow up closely on the committee’s work.
• Support the ANECD national committees’ constitution and follow up on the national committees' work.
• Lead ANECD proposal writing and reporting.
• Ensure the quality of the language of external-facing publications (editing, proofreading, mainly in English) including concept notes, proposals, and reports.      
• Contribute to the ANECD fundraising     
• Cooperate and communicate with the members and support the Director in liaising with the international institutions to contribute to good cooperation, information sharing, and communication between members and the secretariat, regional and international institutions, and other stakeholders.
• Attend and participate in the Network’s meetings with donors, regional networks, regional and local partners, etc.
• Report Monthly to ANECD Director and programs manager.’
• Work closely with MEAL Coordinator, Research Assistant, and Primary Investigators on tasks of reporting, success stories writing, documentation, watching trends in the community, research implementation, and other MEAL tasks.

B) Advocacy and communication

• Design, plan and implement advocacy strategies and campaigns in line with ANECD strategy and collaboration with the ANECD Secretariat and network members.
• Promote ECD policies in the Arab world in the framework of the ECD Global trends and priorities and support the preparation of related policy documents and reports.
• Identify international key advocacy targets and develop contacts, in collaboration with regional and national members.
• Contribute to the creation of tools and guides for the ANECD members advocacy and communication campaigns.
• Contribute to good cooperation, information sharing, and communication between members and the secretariat, institutions, and other stakeholders.
• Actively participate and represent the Arab Network, when needed, in various networks, initiatives, and events to share ANECD positions, after in-house consultation.
• Work closely with Communications Team when required on content development, social media posting, graphics and content revision, and other communication tasks.
• Support the production of ANECD monthly newsletter.
• Help manage ANECD platforms (website, social media accounts, blogs)
• Participate in the development of ECD related articles, blogs, reports, and presentations.

C) Qualifications and requirements:

• BA in Early Childhood Education and Development or related fields (MA, management and coordination skills are assets) 
• 3+ years of experience in the field of advocacy and coordination
• Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with others and towards shared objectives.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through on issues promptly.
• Ability to clearly convey information and ideas through a variety of media to the members to engage them and allow them to better participate.
• Ability to generate innovative solutions.
• Ability to work under pressure and towards tight deadlines maintaining effective performance
• Fluency in Arabic and English. French is an added value.
