Since 2013, KAFA has partnered with UNICEF in a project entitled “Protecting children and adolescents from Gender-Based Violence” aiming at enhancing the protection of vulnerable children and adolescents affected by the Syrian crisis from GBV (early marriage and sexual abuse) through promoting their right to information by improving their access to adequate services and their awareness on how to protect themselves from GBV.
In 2021, KAFA will continue its partnership with UNICEF in the same project through operating an Adolescent Friendly Space (AFS) in Chtaura, safe spaces in Beirut and Mount Lebanon areas (Social Development Centres and Informal Settlements) and the Support Center (SC) in Bekaa and Badaro, developing national tools to prevent child protection risks and Gender Based Violence as well as capacity development of other GBV and non GBV organizations.
